Abrasive discs
Guides and Tips on Industrial Abrasive Discs
Discover everything you need to know about selecting and using abrasive discs for the metallurgical and boiler-making sectors. In this section, we take an in-depth look at our range of cutting discs (XTREM, ALU, and BASIC lines) for steel, iron, and aluminum, as well as the best options for heavy stock removal. Learn how to maximize the lifespan of your consumables, prevent thermal discoloration on stainless steel with our flap discs, and always operate under the highest safety standards and EN12413 regulations.

Cutting discs are very thin and designed exclusively to penetrate and separate material quickly without applying lateral pressure. Grinding discs, on the other hand, are thicker and more robust, designed to withstand constant pressure and remove material from surfaces, such as weld beads.
For stainless steel, specific discs (free of iron, sulfur, and chlorine) must be used to prevent contamination of the metal. Flap discs with zirconium or ceramic grain (like our TURBO INOX range) are highly recommended because they offer a “cool cut,” preventing thermal discoloration of the workpiece.
