1WHAT ARE THE BANDS IN CORINDON USED FOR?
Corundum belts are used for grinding or sanding steels, aluminum, copper, brass, etc.
This is a very versatile grain that can be used in different types of sanding on various materials. Aluminum oxide cloth is manufactured from 24 grit to 800 grit.
2WHAT ARE THE ZIRCON BANDS USED FOR?
Zirconia belts are used for grinding or sanding ferrous and non-ferrous materials in coarse grains, zirconia is manufactured from grain 24 to grain 120. Zirconia lasts longer than corundum or aluminum oxide.
3WHAT ARE CERAMIC BANDS USED FOR?
Ceramic belts are used for grinding or sanding ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The ceramic grain is a corundum grain that is synthetically treated at a high temperature, giving it a hardness much higher than all the minerals that are available to treat metals. Thus, this type of grain is the most aggressive on the market, it can be manufactured from grain 24 to grain 120 in support X, and fine grain up to grain 400 in support F.
4WHAT ARE SILICON CARBIDE BELTS USED FOR?
Silicon carbide belts are used for sanding especially hard materials such as ceramics, glass, stone or special alloys of very high hardness. This belt can be manufactured from 16 to 2500 grit.
5WHAT IS THE TRIZACT ™ BAND OR PYRAMIDAL BAND FOR?
Trizact ™ 3M or pyramidal abrasive belts are used for sanding steels leaving a very fine roughness and having a high abrasion or cutting power. This is manufactured in different types of grains
A6 grain 2500
A16 grain 1200
A30 grain 600
A45 grain 400
A65 grain 280
A80 grain 240
A100 grain 200
A160 grain 120
A300 grain 80
6WHAT IS THE FELT BAND FOR?
The felt band is used to polish metals that already have a very fine roughness, this is served with a gloss paste such as green, blue or white paste.
